The Rights of Residents and Their Loved Ones in a Nursing Home

Residents in nursing homes are in an extremely vulnerable position, that is why the federal and state government have provided them with several important rights.  In this session you will learn about the rights of nursing home residents and their families.  This will include tips on finding information about quality of care; how to select a nursing home; visitation rights; how to complain about poor or inadequate care; and how to access important resources including the Long-Term Care Ombudsman program.
