Gretchen Moore Simmons was thrilled to join Albany Guardian Society (AGS) in 2022 as the Community Outreach Specialist and is excited to bring her skills and expertise to this wonderful organization. Gretchen has had an interesting and diverse career, having worked in both the corporate and non-profit world, as well as spending several years living and working overseas. Gretchen has been in the aging services field in the Capital Region for over 15 years and held prior leadership positions at LifePath (formerly Senior Services of Albany) and the Alzheimer’s Association of Northeastern New York. She is dedicated to helping older adults in the Capital Region remain safe and independent, and she currently serves on the Board of Capital District Senior Housing Option Providers (CDSHOP), as well as the Capital Region Caregiver Coalition (CRCC). Gretchen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the State University of New York at Oswego and a Master of Arts in Public Communication from American University in Washington, DC.
